When using the Plant Booster system to water plants in patio pots there are three choices to make. In addition every pot is a different size, so a little ingenuity is required to design the best way to use the Plant Booster system with each pot. The fulcrum and the device can be positioned unsecured as in the picture above, or it may be easier to build a platform on which the device and fulcrum is secured. The platform could be on caster wheels so it easily be moved around. If the pot is to be removed from it's spot regularly, such as might be needed in a greenhouse, then guides could be made on the platform (see examples below). Guides provide a way of locating the pot on the platform so if the pot needed to be moved or worked on for any reason, the pot can be placed back inside the guides. This ensures that the device will not have to be re-adjusted because the balance geometry will have stayed the same.
Note: by adjusting the position of the fulcrum, the weight of the pot transferring onto the device can be limited to ensure the device remains in its control range. See FAQ Q10
Platforms such as these would come in very handy in a greenhouse using The Plant Booster system. There could be hundreds of platforms arranged on a table or frame, spaced as needed, allowing pots to be worked on frequently and placed back on the platform without further adjustment.
